We, the people of St. James the Less, are a community of faith striving to show love and compassion to all. We are gathered by the power of the Holy Spirit to worship God in word and sacrament by living corporal and spiritual works of mercy. Therefore, we pledge ourselves to be responsible stewards of our time, talent and treasure.

St James is a warm and loving community of believers, and welcomes all newcomers. If you want to become a member of our parish family, please visit or call our office. It only takes a few minutes.
Make arrangements at least six months in advance. No weddings scheduled during Advent or Lent. Call the office to schedule an appointment with Father Gregory.
Communion calls can be arranged for those confined to their home, or to a hospital, by age or illness. Please notify the parish office. Note: privacy laws prohibit hospitals to inform us of your presence unless specified at admission.
Preparation takes place in Faith Formation classes, generally in eighth grade. All other parishioners wishing confirmation should call the parish office to arrange preparation.
If you would like for our parish family to pray for you or a loved one, please call or visit our office. We’ll add your request to the prayer book in our church foyer.
To be a Godparent in Baptism, or a Sponsor in Confirmation, a person must fulfill the following conditions:
- Not be the parent
- Be at least 16-years of age, having received Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation
- Be a practicing Catholic, able to receive communion
- If married, be in a valid marriage (married in the Catholic church or have had your

If you or a loved one is in the hospital, and would like a priest or deacon to visit, please call or visit our office and let us know the name of the patient, and which hospital and room number they are in. If the patient is in critical condition, facing imminent death, let us know.
